CARE INSTRUCTIONS
All hand-dyed or hand-painted fabrics are washed, dried, ironed and folded before they leave my studio. To increase the life span of your item and reduce environmental impact always hang it after each wear to keep it looking its best. If you need to clean your item please follow the instructions below and on the care label and always wash with care.
Silk Clothing: Recommend dry clean. You may hand wash with mild soap like Woolite or Seventh Generation, in cold water, gently squeeze excess water out and hang to dry without fabric sticking to itself and hang away from sun. Steam or iron on silk setting, low to warm heat. I always suggest hand washing first in case there is a small amount of dye discharge on subsequent washings.
Linen and Cotton/Linen Blend Clothing: You may hand wash with mild, cean and clear gentle detergents in cold water, gently squeeze excess water out and hang to dry without fabric sticking to itself and hang away from sun. You can also machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Machine dry on low heat setting, take out of dryer while still damp and hang or air dry flat. Steam or iron while still damp for best results. I always suggest hand washing first in case there is a small amount of dye discharge on subsequent washings.
Hand-painted pieces: All hand-painted pieces are heat set, washed and dried before they’re shipped. Recommend machine wash separately inside out with lukewarm water and mild soap. Tumble dry low and iron on wrong side of fabric. I use inks meant for textile use on every piece, so it should not be affected by the cleaning process.
All other items including indigo and naturally dyed items: To keep your item looking beautiful, hang after each wear. When need to hand wash item inside out in cold water with a gentle soap, hang dry away from sun.
Accessories: Spot clean or hand-wash with mild soap.
